What is this system

Trinity Continuum is Onyx Path's line built on the Storypath engine. It continues the classic Trinity from White Wolf. The line covers games about one world in different eras: Æon, the space psychics of the far future; Aberrant, superhumans; Adventure!, pulp heroes; Aether, the Victorian era; and Anima, a cyberpunk game blending LitRPG. Everything rests on the Trinity Continuum Core rulebook, which the other titles spin off from.

Setting

One story told across eras, from pulp and Victorian wonders through the age of superhumans to a future recovering from a devastating war. In Æon, psionically gifted people look for their place in a world where Orders divide power among their own agendas. Characters can be carried through the whole chronicle, from one game to the next.

What it looks like at the table
Your character walks into an Order's negotiation room and feels the other side probing for her thoughts. You decide whether to open your mind or shield it. The Storyteller asks for a Storypath pool, and the result decides whether the deal stays secret or comes out into the open.

Key mechanics

Storypath

Storypath runs on d10 pools: you roll dice based on an attribute and a skill, and the result describes the scene, not only the outcome of a fight.

Psionic powers

Psionic abilities sit at the core of Æon, while other games swap in superhuman powers and the wonders of their era. They open options and create risk, so using them always involves a choice.

Orders

In Æon, characters belong to Orders or are tied to them. Loyalty and conflict between Orders supply plot hooks and tension between players.

A shared core

The Trinity Continuum Core rulebook is the foundation for the other games in the line, so one set of rules covers several settings.

What people say
Trinity Continuum: Aberrant is a great game for fans of modern action, deconstructionist comic book stories and sprawling multi-game chronicles.— Rob Wieland, EN World
